Choi recalled his desperate prayers during the drive, “For an hour, I begged, ‘Please, just save my daughter this once.’ I cried my eyes out, pleading to trade places with her. I asked them to take me instead and save her.” He continued, “When I arrived at the hospital, she was covered with a white sheet. It was devastating.
