[Economic Focus] The Busan Facilities Corporation conducted a joint labor-management inspection of key facilities on the 10th to assess working conditions and safety management practices.

In the afternoon, CEO Lee Seong-rim and Union Chairman Jang Dae-deok, along with members of the Industrial Safety and Health Committee and union officials, visited the Nampo and Gwangbok underground shopping centers consecutively.

During the inspection, they thoroughly examined workspaces and facilities, focusing on the work environment, safety management status, emergency response systems, rest areas, and overall working conditions. They also listened to on-site workers’ concerns and collaboratively discussed improvement strategies.

Given the unique challenges of working in underground and confined spaces, they paid particular attention to ventilation systems, emergency lighting, and evacuation route management. They also reviewed additional measures to enhance safety protocols.

Union Chairman Jang Dae-deok emphasized, “Workers’ voices are the foundation of safety policies,” and pledged to foster a safe and comfortable work environment through ongoing dialogue and cooperation.

CEO Lee Seong-rim stated, “A safe working environment is created through direct on-site communication,” and committed to strengthening field-centered safety management based on labor-management collaboration.

The corporation plans to review and implement workplace improvements based on the inspection findings, aiming to establish a safety-first culture focused on practical, on-the-ground measures.
