Re-signing Agreement to Expand Youth Urban Agriculture Experiences — Program Expansion and Rooftop Garden Cooperation

Gunpo City Youth Foundation (the Foundation) announced on the 13th that it re-signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Gyeonggi-do Agricultural and Marine Products Promotion Agency (the Agency) to broaden urban agriculture opportunities for youth.
The agreement is intended to ensure continuity for the urban agriculture cooperation initiative launched in 2025 and to progressively expand programming aimed at young people.
The two organizations will establish a rooftop garden at the youth center and create a collaborative framework to operate programs that increase hands-on urban agriculture opportunities for youth.
The Agency will develop the comprehensive plan for the urban agriculture community activation support project, support program operations, and provide supplies such as potting soil, fertilizer, and planter boxes. The Foundation will manage youth participation programs and oversee the project schedule.
A Foundation official said, “We expect these urban agriculture experiences to foster ecological awareness and a sense of community among young people,” adding, “We will work with local partners to expand the base of youth participation.”
Under the agreement, the Gunpo City Youth Foundation will operate the rooftop garden program for youth and conduct regular reviews of project progress and shared outcomes to invigorate youth engagement in urban agriculture.
