Breaking: Wildfire Erupts in Yangpyeong, No Casualties Reported – What You Need to Know

On March 28 at approximately 3:56 p.m., a fire broke out on a mountainside in Munho-ri, Seojong-myeon, Yangpyeong County, Gyeonggi Province.
After a passerby reported the blaze, firefighters deployed eight helicopters specialized in wildfire suppression, along with 19 vehicles and pieces of equipment and 55 personnel. They are currently working to contain the fire.
No casualties have been reported so far.
Yangpyeong County issued a safety alert via text: \”Wildfire in Munho-ri, Seojong-myeon. Do not enter the mountain.\” Officials urged nearby residents and hikers to remain cautious and avoid the area.
Authorities said they will conduct a detailed investigation into the cause and circumstances once the blaze is fully extinguished.
