Translation result푸바오보호연합의 [Herald Economy=Reporter Ham Young-hoon] President Lee Jae-myung’s January request to Chinese leader Xi Jinping for an additional pair of pandas has raised expectations. Against that backdrop, the Korea Pubao Protection Union and the Bulssi Campaign held a “Campaign Urging Pubao’s Re-rental to Korea and Building Public Support” on the afternoon of the 2nd, three days before Children’s Day, in front of Uchi Zoo, where a new panda is expected to arrive.

Organizers said the panda destined for Uchi Zoo could be Pubao. They launched the campaign to outline the social and economic benefits Pubao’s arrival might bring and to gather residents’ views directly.

Organizers argued that securing Pubao would be more than an animal relocation; it could ripple through the local economy via ▷ tourism activation ▷ increased related spending ▷ and a rise in the city’s brand value.

푸바오보호연합제공{판다 They said the event, staged just before Children’s Day, was intended to raise awareness about respect for life and animal welfare among children and family visitors.

The Korea Pubao Protection Union and the Bulssi Campaign conducted several activities: ▷ giveaway of Pubao merchandise (hand fans and other items) ▷ operation of a traveling “photo zone” featuring Pubao ▷ a sticker poll asking visitors whether they support bringing Pubao to Uchi Zoo ▷ and a campaign to share messages urging Pubao’s re-rental to Korea.

Son Mi-seon of the Korea Pubao Protection Union said, “This event is an opportunity to hear citizens’ views directly about an additional rental of a pair of pandas and Pubao’s return, and to create a public forum.” She added, “I hope it becomes a moment to calmly discuss the possibility and significance of Pubao’s re-rental to Korea.”
