[Sports Today reporter Lee Sang-pil] Lee Tae-hoon (representing Canada) is tied for second after the second round of LIV Golf Singapore, which carries a 30 million USD (approximately 40 billion KRW) purse.

On March 13 (Korean time) at Singapore’s Sentosa Golf Club (par 71), Lee carded five birdies and two bogeys to post a 3-under 68 in the second round.

Lee is 7-under 135 overall and shares second place with Jon Rahm (Spain), Lee Westwood (England), Louis Oosthuizen (South Africa) and Thomas Detry (Belgium).

A former KPGA Tour player, Lee earned his LIV card by winning the promotion event in January, securing a spot on this season’s LIV circuit. He missed the top 10 at Riyadh in February (T13), Adelaide (T37) and Hong Kong in March (T18), but after sharing the first-round lead here and moving into a tie for second, he has raised expectations for a strong finish.

Bryson DeChambeau (USA) produced an eagle, five birdies and a lone bogey in the second round to go 6-under on the day, moving to 10-under 132 overall and into the solo lead. DeChambeau, who has three LIV wins, is chasing another title.

Anthony Kim (USA) is tied for 34th at even-par 142. Danny Lee (New Zealand) of the Korean Golf Club is tied for 41st at 2-over 144, An Byeong-hun and Song Young-han are tied for 46th at 4-over 146, and Kim Min-gyu sits 56th at 16-over 158.
