[Sports Today reporter Kang Tae-gu] The Lotte Giants rallied past the LG Twins to extend their momentum in the exhibition slate.
Lotte defeated LG 7-4 on the 15th at Busan’s Sajik Baseball Stadium in a 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League exhibition game.
The win improved Lotte’s exhibition record to 3-1. LG fell to 1-1-2.
Lotte starter Jeremy Bisley turned in a solid outing, working five innings while allowing three hits (one homer), striking out six, walking four and giving up three runs.
Offensively, Lee Ho-jun and Yoon Dong-hee each collected multiple hits, and Jeon Min-jae’s solo homer helped power the comeback.
LG starter Lee Min-ho struggled through 1 2/3 innings, yielding two hits (one homer), issuing four walks and allowing one run, but he avoided the loss.
LG struck first. In the top of the first, Lee Jae-won drew a walk, and Chun Seong-ho’s grounder erased the lead runner. Hong Chang-ki followed with an infield hit and heads-up baserunning created a 2nd-and-3rd, one-out chance. Austin’s grounder to short produced the first run and gave LG a 1-0 lead.
Lotte answered with a homer. In the bottom of the second, with two outs and nobody on, Jeon Min-jae hammered Lee Min-ho’s third pitch—a 128 km/h slider—over the left-field wall to tie the game.
LG responded with a two-run homer in the top of the fourth. With Hong on first and one out, Oh Ji-hwan crushed Bisley’s first pitch, a 142 km/h cutter, into the gap in center to put LG back in front.
Lotte stayed patient. In the bottom of the fourth, Reyes singled and Han Tae-yang walked to put runners on first and second with one out. A wild pitch moved them up, and Yoon Dong-hee’s sacrifice fly cut the deficit to one.
LG extended the lead in the top of the sixth. Austin walked and Moon Sung-joo was hit by a pitch to create a 1st-and-2nd, one-out situation. Oh Ji-hwan’s productive out advanced the runners, and Koo Bon-hyuk’s infield RBI single made it 4-2.
Lotte delivered the decisive rally in the eighth. In the bottom of the eighth, Park Seung-wook drew a walk, and consecutive singles by Noh Jin-hyuk and Lee Seo-jun loaded the bases. Song Seong-bin then drew a bases-loaded walk to pull Lotte closer.
With the bases still full, Jo Se-jin worked another bases-loaded walk to tie the game. Lee Ho-jun followed with an RBI single to right, Jeon Jun-woo added an RBI knock, and Son Ho-young delivered an RBI grounder to second. Lotte scored five runs in the eighth to turn a 4-2 deficit into a 7-4 lead.
Leading into the ninth, Lotte turned the ball over to Yoon Seong-bin, who closed out the game without allowing a run.
