[Sports Today reporter Lee Sang-pil] The Lotte Giants announced on the 18th that they will welcome the 2026 season with a Home Opening Series at Sajik Baseball Stadium from April 3–5.
On April 3, pregame activities will feature the Lotte Giants cheerleaders, the Dancing Kids and the Busan United cheering squad performing together. Members of the Swing Kids—young players aspiring to play professional baseball—will act as the flag party, leading the team onto the field hand in hand.
On April 4, the club will host the 2026 season’s first Pokémon Day, transforming Sajik into a themed space. A giant Snorlax air balloon will be installed in the plaza, and Eevee and Psyduck will take part in a pregame greeting. A Pokémon photo zone will be available for fans to capture photos with the characters.
Actor Park Hae-joon, who portrayed middle-aged Gwan-sik in the series “Pokssak Sogassuda,” will throw the ceremonial first pitch for the opening series. After the game, the team will screen a cheer video compiled from photos submitted by fans and stage a “G-MOMENT” cheer concert with the newly refreshed Giants cheering squad.
On April 5, Yu Seung-eun of the Lotte Ski & Snowboard Team—the 2026 Milan–Cortina d’Ampezzo Winter Olympic bronze medalist in snowboard big air and the first Korean woman to win a medal in a snow event—will deliver the ceremonial first pitch.
The club will give fans in attendance a “Most-Attendance Commemoration Badge” on April 3 and an embroidered Giants logo windbreaker on April 5. The giant Snorlax air balloon will remain on display in the Sajik plaza on April 4 and 5 for Pokémon Day.
Tickets for the Home Opening Series go on sale on the 20th. Presales begin at 10:00 AM, and general sales start at 2:00 PM. A booking fee of 1,500 KRW (approximately $1.13) applies per ticket. April pricing and full details are available on the Lotte Giants official app and website.
