Translation result. The Blue House said on the 26th that it will “review and pursue a range of military confidence‑building measures,” responding to reports that it had halted procedures to proactively restore the Sept. 19 inter‑Korean military agreement at the government level. The office added, “The government will pursue measures to reduce military tensions and rebuild trust between the two Koreas.”Earlier, President Lee Jae‑myung formally announced in last year’s Liberation Day address that he would proactively restore the Sept. 19 military agreement. The government planned to begin that process by restoring no‑fly zones. However, a report the previous day said interagency reviews and consultations with the U.N. Command had been fully suspended. The Blue House said it could not confirm specific review details or consultation items but emphasized it will pursue confidence‑building measures while maintaining robust military readiness and the South Korea–U.S. combined defense posture.A Unification Ministry official told reporters at the Government Complex Seoul the same day that the government’s position has not changed: it will proactively and incrementally restore the Sept. 19 agreement to reduce military tensions and rebuild trust.
