The England-born winger is known for his speed, direct dribbling and ability to break lines behind defenses. A product of Everton’s academy, Gordon made his senior debut in the 2019–20 season and moved to Newcastle during the winter 2022–23 transfer window.

Romano added the fixed fee is €70 million (about 122 billion KRW, approximately $91.5 million), and with add-ons the total is expected to exceed €80 million (around 140 billion KRW, approximately $105 million). Gordon is set to travel to Barcelona for a medical and to finalize his contract.
With Gordon’s move on the verge of completion, Marcus Rashford’s chance of a permanent switch to Barcelona has all but disappeared. Rashford — who had been linked with a loan to Barcelona — now looks more likely to return to parent club Manchester United.
Gordon has also publicly expressed admiration for Son Heung-min (LA FC), calling Son “a fantastic player” and “my biggest idol.”
