Juknokwon, a sprawling 310,000 square meter bamboo forest-themed garden, has become an iconic landmark in Damyang, South Jeolla Province.

During the winter months (November to February), Juknokwon welcomes visitors from 9 AM to 6 PM, with last entry at 5:30 PM. This two-kilometer stretch is a nature lover’s paradise, boasting around 180 ancient trees, including majestic zelkovas, oaks, and poplars, each over two centuries old. As night falls, the walking paths come alive with twinkling lights, creating a magical ambiance. Follow the Gwanbang Jeerim trail, and you’ll find yourself at the entrance of the breathtaking Meta Sequoia Tree-lined Road.

Fitness enthusiasts, rejoice! The flat terrain of the tree-lined path is perfect for cycling along the picturesque Yeongsan River. Rent a bike at the trail entrance – options include single, tandem, or family-sized rides.
