Here’s the scoop: KTX trains will depart from Suseo Station, while SRT trains will leave from Seoul Station. Both will make daily round trips to Busan, giving you more flexibility in your travel plans.

The spacious KTX, with room for 955 passengers, will leave Busan at 10:33 AM, arriving at Suseo Station at 1:08 PM. It’ll then depart Suseo at 1:55 PM, reaching Busan at 4:14 PM.

Not to be outdone, the sleek SRT, carrying 410 passengers, will depart Busan at 11:00 AM, pulling into Seoul Station at 1:47 PM. The return trip leaves Seoul at 2:19 PM, arriving in Busan at 4:50 PM.

Ready to book? You’ve got options! Use the Korail and SR mobile apps, websites, station counters, or ticket machines. But heads up: for online bookings, you’ll need to use different apps depending on your departure station. Booking KTX from Suseo? Use the Korail app or website. For SRT from Seoul Station, it’s the SR app and website. Don’t worry though – at the station, you can buy tickets for either train, no problem.

Now, let’s talk money. Great news: KTX fares from Suseo are getting a 10% discount, matching SRT prices. And SRT trips from Seoul Station? They’ll be about 10% cheaper than KTX. Just remember, since this is a trial run, you won’t earn KTX miles this time around.

This cross-operation is just the beginning of a bigger plan to streamline high-speed rail services. It’s all part of the integration roadmap announced last December. Since the 3rd, officials have been running tests to ensure everything’s running smoothly and safely.
