Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance has just upped their travel insurance game, and we’re here for it! The company recently announced a game-changing addition to their 365 Annual Overseas Travel Insurance: a special clause that’s got your back when those dreaded trip cancellations hit.

Here’s the scoop: This insurance isn’t your average one-and-done deal. It’s an annual plan that lets you jet-set worry-free all year long, no matter how many trips you take. Perfect for you globe-trotting business travelers and short-stay adventurers! But wait, there’s more – they’ve expanded coverage to include those pesky pre-trip cancellation costs too.

So, what’s covered? If life throws you a curveball – like an unexpected illness or accident – and you have to cancel your plans, this policy has you covered. It’ll reimburse up to 80% of those non-refundable fees for your flights, hotels, and experiences, up to a cool 100 million KRW (about 75,000 USD).

Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance is all about easing your financial stress throughout your entire travel journey. It’s like they’ve taken traditional travel insurance and given it a much-needed glow-up!

But that’s not all, folks! These insurance innovators have been on a roll. Last January, they pioneered index-based coverage for domestic flight delays. And by September, they’d slashed the compensation wait time from 4 hours to just 2. Talk about customer-friendly!

A company spokesperson dished to Alpha Economy, “We’re all ears when it comes to what our customers really want. This new coverage? It’s straight from the feedback we’ve gotten.” They added, “We’re not just about covering you during your trip anymore. We’re here for the whole shebang – from planning to return.”

“And we’re not stopping here,” they promised. “We’re committed to keeping our ear to the ground and delivering what our jet-setters truly need.”
