Good news for Korean tourists stranded in Dubai! The recent Middle East tensions had left many vacationers worried, but now there’s light at the end of the tunnel. Travel agencies are pulling out all the stops to get everyone home safe and sound.

Here’s the scoop: On the 4th, about 40 lucky HanaTour customers said goodbye to Dubai and touched down in Taipei, Taiwan, later that day. Talk about a quick turnaround!

Now, get this – out of the 540 or so HanaTour and Modu Tour clients chilling in the Middle East, about 240 were living it up in Dubai. And guess what? Forty of them are already on their way back to the Land of the Morning Calm.

But wait, there’s more! These globetrotters aren’t home free just yet. They’ll be spending a night in Taiwan (hello, impromptu vacay!) before hopping on a Korean Air flight back to Incheon on the afternoon of the 5th. Not to be outdone, Modu Tour is also in on the action, working their magic to snag some replacement flights starting on the 5th.

The travel gurus are crossing their fingers for Emirates’ direct flight from Dubai to Incheon in the wee hours of the 5th. If all goes according to plan, it’ll be smooth sailing from there. Word on the street is that both Emirates and Korean Air have flights scheduled to land at Incheon at 4:50 p.m. on the 5th. But let’s not count our chickens before they hatch – those pesky flight cancellations could still throw a wrench in the works.

Meanwhile, over in Cairo, it’s business as usual at the airport. Travelers there just need to switch up their flights, and they’re good to go. HanaTour’s betting all their Cairo customers will be back on home soil by tomorrow. Now that’s what we call a happy ending!
