South Korea’s Urgent Travel Advisory: What You Need to Know About Iran’s Level 4 Ban
Daniel Kim Views

In a surprising move, the government has just slapped a Level 4 travel advisory on Iran on the 5th, effectively banning all travel to the country.
This decision comes hot on the heels of escalating tensions in the Middle East, following recent U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran. Officials are concerned that our citizens in the region could be at serious risk.
Previously, Iran was under a Level 3 advisory, which merely recommended avoiding travel. But now, it’s a whole new ballgame. Without special permission, jetting off to Iran could land you in hot water with the law, facing potential penalties under the Passport Act.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs isn’t mincing words: If you’ve got Iran on your travel bucket list, it’s time to cross it off. And if you’re already there? Pack your bags, pronto. They’re urging all our citizens to high-tail it out of the country ASAP.
