AirAsia Philippines, the Malaysian low-cost carrier (LCC), announced on the 11th that it will launch nonstop service between Cebu in central Philippines and Bangkok, Thailand, starting June 11.
The route will operate one round-trip flight per day. The outbound flight departs Cebu at 4:05 a.m. and arrives at Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport at 7:05 a.m. The return flight leaves Don Mueang at 7:35 a.m. and lands in Cebu at 12:30 p.m.
Since November 2025, AirAsia has been positioning Cebu Airport as a hub. Internationally, it has introduced routes to Macau and Kuala Lumpur, and domestically it now serves Caticlan — the gateway to Boracay — and Davao in the south.
The carrier is also beefing up flights out of Manila, increasing frequencies to Taipei and Kaohsiung in Taiwan, as well as to Macau, between late March and early April.
