[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] “Welcome, First Time in Korea?” has unveiled its official poster — and it’s announcing a bold, colorful return.

Set to premiere on the 19th, MBC Every1’s Welcome, First Time in Korea? is the original Korean travel-variety show that made foreigner-led journeys a TV staple. Since its 2017 debut, the series has charmed viewers with candid travel stories from international friends, delivering fresh laughs and genuine cultural connections.

This season promises even bigger changes. The show has expanded beyond the old format of Korea-based hosts inviting friends. Now, any foreigner who loves Korea — even without ties to the country — can be the star. Producers have handpicked unexpected personalities who will explore Korea’s lesser-known charms, and the show is poised to prove that its signature format still packs a punch.

The poster, released on the 16th, captures hosts Kim Jun-hyun and DinDin opening a giant travel suitcase against a backdrop of blue sky and yellow canola fields. Rising behind them are landmarks that bridge Korea’s past and present — the towering Namsan Tower, a hanok with vivid dancheong paintwork — and tucked inside the suitcase are icons like the Cheomseongdae observatory and the Lotte Tower.

Historical symbols — a statue of King Sejong, Buddhist sculptures, and more — hint at the show’s deeper intent. This isn’t just a highlights reel of famous spots; it teases a more meaningful kind of travel: an immersive dive into Korea’s history and spirit.

The poster is full of playful details. From bungeoppang (fish-shaped pastry) peeking out of the bag to K-chicken and samgyeopsal — fan-favorite eats — and cultural touches like hanbok and the mugunghwa, these elements suggest a richer, more varied journey. Viewers can expect a travel-reality experience that goes beyond sightseeing and into full cultural immersion.

Mini caricatures of Kim Jun-hyun and DinDin, striking mischievous poses beyond the suitcase, inject instant wanderlust — you can almost feel the urge to pack and join them. The original MC duo, known for their chemistry, returns to lead a fresh chapter of Korean travel stories, and anticipation is already high.

Producers say the poster embodies the show’s identity: “everything about traveling in Korea.” They’ve revamped the format while keeping the show’s warm, welcoming perspective, and they say they’re fully prepared to make viewers fall in love with Welcome, First Time in Korea? all over again.
