Tongyeong City in South Gyeongsang Province announced on March 26 that it’s officially launching Tongyeong U-Tour, an integrated tourism platform designed to make travel more convenient and encourage longer stays.
Tongyeong U-Tour brings together previously scattered tourism information and booking services into a single, user-friendly hub.
It’s more than a simple info site — the platform combines trip planning, reservations and payments, on-the-ground guidance, and hands-on experience bookings.
The main features include △personalized travel recommendations △one-stop tourism booking △information on the Gangguan smart tourism experience facility △a tour-guide chatbot and Plan-Visit △and an interactive Tongyeong tourism map.
Especially useful is the one-stop booking feature, which streamlines what used to be a complicated process — now passengers can book ferries, sightseeing cruises, and accommodations all in one go.
Visitors can also request cultural-tour narration online, and the Tongyeong Tour Pass lets users visit major paid attractions at discounted rates.
The Tongyeong tourism map uses location-based services to display nearby sights, restaurants, and amenities, making it particularly handy when you’re exploring the area.
A city official said the municipality will continue refining content based on user feedback and hopes the platform will energize local tourism and the regional economy.
