On April 14, Gijang County in Busan announced the launch of the 3rd Gijang County Tourism Photo Contest, a call for images that uncover and celebrate the area’s best-hidden views.
This year’s themes are “The Eight Scenic Views of Gijang” and “Brilliant Nightscapes.” Eligible entries are digital photos taken since January of last year (drone photos are not allowed). Each person may submit one image. The submission window runs from June 1 through July 24.
Before the contest kicks off, a traveling exhibition will showcase 20 standout photos from the first two competitions. The show will be on view at Gijang Station from April 17–26 and at the Andersen Story Hall in Jangan-eup from April 27–May 8.
“We hope a flood of stunning photos that capture Gijang’s hidden beauty will be submitted and help raise the area’s appeal as a travel destination,” said Jung Jong-bok, mayor of Gijang County.
