This expo brings together about 100 local governments and businesses nationwide to showcase regional festivals and travel experiences.
At the booth, visitors can try a “Make Your Own Mountain Ginseng Wine” workshop using five-year-old mountain-cultivated ginseng, join a “Find the Golden Ginseng” hunt, and take part in social media follow events—plus other hands-on programs designed to grab attention and create shareable moments for your feed.
Hamyang County plans to tie promotion for its October ginseng festival to the area’s top tourist attractions and ongoing tourism initiatives.
On the 18th, officials will also promote the OreGO Hamyang app and host participation events to showcase Hamyang’s tourism appeal nationwide.
A county official said, “We’ll use this expo as the launchpad for full-scale festival promotion, highlight the festival’s unique charm, and do our best to attract more visitors to Hamyang.”
The Hamyang Wild Ginseng Festival celebrates premium mountain-cultivated ginseng grown on the slopes of Jirisan and Deogyusan and is Hamyang’s signature wellness festival. Gyeongsangnam-do has designated it as a Cultural Tourism Festival for 2026–2027. This year’s festival is set for Oct. 7–11 at Sangrim Park in Hamyang.
