The Public—Reporter Oh Hong-ji] The 2026 Jeungpyeong County \”Lake Love\” Walking Event is scheduled for the 25th, taking place along the Bogangcheon area.

Presented by the Chungbuk Sports Council and organized by the Jeungpyeong County Sports Council, the walk is designed to promote the Chungbuk Lake Park Renaissance Trail and give a lift to the local economy.

The day will begin with a 9:30 a.m. opening ceremony, and participants will set off at 10:00 a.m. from the Bogangcheon Sports Field. The route is a roughly 4 km (about 2.5 miles) loop that runs from the Daegyo Tennis Courts to Kim Deuk-sin Bridge, across Rose Bridge, past White Heron Park and Jeungpyeong Bridge, before returning to the Bogangcheon Sports Field.

Participation is open to everyone—no age or residency restrictions apply—and anyone can join on site.

Commemorative gifts will be available to participants while supplies last.

Beyond the walk, the event will feature a variety of interactive booths and hands-on activities.

Attendees can try cup stacking, tuho (a traditional Korean throwing game), flower-planting experiences, ginseng tea tastings, and a fitness assessment center, among other attractions.

An official from the sports council said, \”This event offers a chance to enjoy both health and relaxation while walking along Bogangcheon’s scenic natural landscape. We hope many residents and visitors will join us.\”
