[TourKorea — Yoo Kyung-hoon] On the 23rd at 4:00 PM, Yeosu City (South Jeolla Province) hosted the “2026 Yeosu Tourism Briefing” at the Seoul Garden Hotel, welcoming travel agencies, partner organizations and media based in the Seoul area.

The Seoul briefing introduced tourism assets that Yeosu and local tourism companies have discovered and developed to travel firms across Seoul and the greater metropolitan area. It was part of a joint marketing push to attract visitors and stimulate the local economy.

Ahead of the main program, a B2B matchmaking session connected Yeosu accommodation and attraction operators with Seoul-based travel companies. They discussed visitor-ready packages and experiences available in Yeosu and launched focused promotions to raise awareness of the city’s offerings.

At the main event, organizers screened a promotional video spotlighting the 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo, scheduled for Sept. 5–Nov. 4. The video showcased Yeosu’s standout attractions, local charm and growth potential, drawing strong interest from attendees.

Seo Chae-hoon, director of Yeosu’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, then walked the audience through the city’s tourism strategy. His presentation covered signature attractions and festivals, hands-on experience programs, premium cycling routes, distinctive tourism products, visitor incentive programs and the detailed operational plans for the World Islands Expo.

A Yeosu tourism official said, “This September, Yeosu will host the Yeosu World Islands Expo. We’re actively developing a variety of tourism and experiential offerings and stepping up visitor outreach so more people can come, enjoy the event and help drive growth in Yeosu’s tourism industry.”
