Boryeong City in South Chungcheong Province is rolling out a big, interactive festival aimed at families to celebrate Children’s Day.
Boryeong City will host the 2026 Boryeong Children’s Day celebration at the Mud Expo Square on Daecheon Beach from May 2 to May 3.
Under the slogan Bursting with Fun! Bursting with Laughter! Happy City, OK Boryeong, the event will be a family-focused festival tied to the 2026 Boryeong·AMC International Motor Festival.
The venue will feature a children’s activity area with hands-on programs and events like sea glass keychains, custom keycaps, framed keepsakes, perfume workshops and soap-making stations. Organizers have significantly boosted interactive content to ramp up kids’ interest and engagement.
The Children’s Day ceremony on May 2 will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Boryeong Mud Theme Park Convention Hall. Pre-ceremony performances — including a K-pop dance and a bubble show — will kick things off, followed by guest remarks, a reading of the Children’s Charter and celebratory acts such as the puppet play Leaping Inn.

Organizers are hoping this mix of children’s activities, performances and large-scale events will help jump-start Boryeong’s tourism as Family Month gets underway in early May.
