YouTuber Haejini (real name Kang Hye-jin) opened up about why her second son didn’t join the family on a recent trip.
On the 16th, her YouTube channel Hyejinssu posted a video titled “Answers to Many Questions: Why Our Second Child Wasn’t on Our Trips.”
In the clip, Haejini said viewers have frequently asked about Seung-yu and often wondered, “Why doesn’t Seung-yu come on trips?”
She explained that after a cold in January, Seung-yu developed otitis media that’s lasted longer than expected, and he’s been receiving treatment for four months. Even a small dip in his condition can bring back a runny nose, nasal congestion, and ear infection symptoms, so they decide on outings with extra caution.
She added that while the family of four—Seung-yu, Chae-yu, her husband and she—love spending time together, Seung-yu’s health and well-being come first, so sometimes he can’t join them.
Haejini said their Busan trip was originally planned for two nights and three days, but they shortened it to one night and two days because of Seung-yu’s condition. She acknowledged that many viewers enjoy seeing the whole family together and promised to share more of their daily life going forward.
