Travel and airline companies are leaning into summer getaways with resort promotions, repeat-visitor flight perks, and offers designed to ease the sting of fuel surcharges.

Yellow Balloon has teamed up with the Guam Visitors Bureau for a playful summer campaign: ‘Guam by Day, Guam by Night.’

With fuel surcharges and currency swings still pinching wallets, travelers are favoring sun-and-sand destinations that cut down travel time and keep itineraries simple. Guam — about a 4–5 hour flight — remains a go-to resort for families, couples and Millennial/Gen Z travelers.

For customers booking Guam departures in May and June, the promotion includes free airfare for children and support for fuel surcharges. The offer is limited to the first 300 bookings on eligible discounted packages, and benefits vary by itinerary. Yellow Balloon also curates picks for family trips, couple getaways and MZ-targeted escapes. Family options include PIC Resort, Lotte Hotel and Risonare Guam, while couple packages feature Dusit Thani, The Tsubaki Tower and Hyatt.

Packages aimed at Millennial and Gen Z travelers include Hotel Nikko, Rihga Royal Guam and Crowne Plaza. Yellow Balloon also spotlights must-see attractions and activities like Tumon Beach, Emerald Valley, Two Lovers Point, Micronesia Mall, Guam Premier Outlets, dolphin cruises and starlight tours. Travelers can choose morning or afternoon flights; trips confirm with a minimum of two people, and afternoon departures come with late-checkout perks.

Air Seoul rolled out a promotion for repeat Japan travelers: fly or buy a ticket on select Japan routes and earn a discount for your next trip. The campaign is meant to make back-to-back vacations easier on the wallet and responds to growing demand for repeat visits to Japan.

The eligible routes are four popular Air Seoul Japan lines: Yonago, Takamatsu, Fukuoka and Osaka Kansai. From May 21 through June 30, customers who buy tickets or complete travel on those routes via Air Seoul’s official website or mobile app will receive a round-trip discount coupon worth 40,000 KRW (about 30 USD) to use on their next booking; the one-way discount is 20,000 KRW (about 15 USD).

Coupons are issued starting July 6, and travel using the coupons is valid from July 8 through Dec. 31. There are no blackout dates, and the coupons apply to all domestic and international routes, so they work for summer plans or year-end getaways. Air Seoul structured this continuous-travel benefit to match the rise in repeat visitors to both major and regional Japanese cities.

RXC, which operates Prism, is running the InTrip Zero Collection through its premium overseas travel brand InTrip until June 1. These packages let travelers go abroad without paying additional fuel surcharges that have risen with recent oil-price increases, while keeping the premium travel experience intact.

The InTrip Zero Collection offers five regional products across independent travel, semi-package and guided-package formats: a guided package to Hulunbuir in Inner Mongolia; a guided Hokkaido package; independent travel at the Danang Marriott Resort & Spa; a semi-package at The Magellan Sutera Resort in Kota Kinabalu; and a semi-package in Singapore. The lineup covers beach time, activities, local food and city sightseeing to suit a wide range of travel tastes.

Per-product benefits vary. The Danang Marriott package includes deluxe-room lodging, late checkout, a massage and lounge access. The Kota Kinabalu package features private hopping tours and snorkeling. The Hulunbuir package offers grassland excursions, ger stays and traditional nomadic-house experiences. The Hokkaido package includes Korean Air flights, special meals like king crab and shabu-shabu, and a local onsen experience.
