Save 10% on European Family Getaways with KLM’s Latest Deal

Daniel Kim Views

Multi-generation travel—where parents, kids and even grandparents hit the road together—is on the rise. To celebrate Family Month in May, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM) is rolling out a ticket-discount promotion to make European getaways more affordable for families planning trips later this year.

The promotion runs on KLM’s official website through June 2. The first 200 customers to purchase economy or Premium Comfort tickets departing from Incheon on KLM or Air France—including the Incheon–Amsterdam route—will receive a 10% discount.

To claim the discount, enter code ‘KLMTHANK26’ at booking. Travel is valid from October 1 through March 31, 2027. For booking windows, fare rules, and full details, visit KLM’s official site.

Parata Air, responding to strong customer demand, has extended a promotion that suspends the recent increase in international fuel surcharges through June 12.

During the extension, the airline will apply April’s level (stage 19) instead of May’s confirmed increase (stage 33). That means the surcharge for Incheon–Osaka (Kansai) drops from US$46 to US$26, and Incheon–Tokyo (Narita) and Sapporo fall from US$62 to US$35.

Meanwhile, the Incheon–Da Nang and Hanoi surcharges are reduced from US$108 to US$61, and Incheon–Nha Trang and Phu Quoc drop from US$130 to US$74—savings that should help lighten travelers’ out-of-pocket costs.

Mongolia shines from June through early September and has become a hotspot for young travelers chasing one-of-a-kind adventures. Ahead of the summer peak, tour operator Yeohaeng-izi is expanding its Mongolia packages—and for the first time in the industry, it’s adding trips to western Bayan-Ulgii and northern-central Selenge to capture new demand.

The Mongolia: 5 Days in Bayan-Ulgii package visits Mongolia’s far-western Bayan-Ulgii region, which borders Kazakhstan, Russia and China. The itinerary includes a domestic flight between Ulaanbaatar and Bayan-Ulgii to cut down on long overland travel.

Highlights include a trek in Altai Tavan Bogd National Park—nicknamed the “roof of Mongolia.” Travelers follow an approximately 18 km route to take in alpine landscapes and the Potanin Glacier, known locally as the “Ice River.” The tour also stops at the Chagan River, Shiwet Mountain and the Towa nomadic village, offering an intimate look at western Mongolia’s nature and traditional nomadic life.

The Mongolia: 5 Days in Selenge package showcases the varied scenery of northern Selenge, where desert, steppe and coniferous forest coexist. The journey from Ulaanbaatar to Selenge is done on an overnight train, turning travel itself into part of the adventure. Guests can hike along the Selenge River and visit Altanbulag, a border town near Russia.

Okinawa—famed for its stunning beaches, resort facilities and exotic vibe—is a top summer pick for travelers who want both downtime and sightseeing on a short flight. Tour operator NorangPungseon is launching a Japan: Okinawa package that blends resort relaxation with must-see attractions in a compact itinerary.

The package will be featured on CJ ONStyle home shopping at 6:40 p.m. on the 9th and is available for departures from late May through October. Travel is arranged on Asiana Airlines to improve convenience.

Accommodations center on the Okinawa Rizzan Sea-Park Hotel Tanza Bay, with indoor and outdoor pools plus sauna and spa facilities, and the Lagent Okinawa Naha Hotel in central Naha. At Rizzan Sea-Park, guests on the two-night plan get one free day to unwind and enjoy beach activities, the pools, sauna and spa at a more relaxed pace.

The package also includes a hotel dinner coupon, giving guests the choice of Chinese, Japanese or BBQ options.

The itinerary highlights Okinawa favorites such as the American Village shopping and entertainment complex; Manzamo, with its dramatic cliff views and emerald sea; Kokusai-dori, a hub for local food and shopping; and the Churaumi Aquarium, the world’s second-largest marine-themed aquarium.
