[Sports Today reporter Lee Sang-pil] The Lotte Giants and KT Wiz battled to a 6-6 tie.
Lotte and KT played to a 6-6 draw on the 13th at Busan’s Sajik Stadium in a 2026 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League exhibition game.
Rain stopped play in the top of the eighth with the score tied 6-6, and the contest was ultimately declared a rain-shortened game. Lotte finished the two-game set with one win and one tie (1-0-1); KT finished with one tie and one loss (0-1-1).
Lotte’s Son Ho-young led the offense with two hits and two RBIs, while Jeon Jun-woo had one hit and two RBIs. Starter Kyoyama lasted three innings, allowing five hits, striking out two, issuing two walks and yielding two runs. Reliever Lee Min-seok worked 2 1/3 innings, gave up six hits, struck out three, walked one and allowed three runs (two earned).
For KT, Kim Min-seok connected for a solo home run and Kim Hyun-soo had one hit and two RBIs. Starter Boshillie lasted 3 2/3 innings, surrendered 10 hits, struck out four, walked one and gave up five runs; the bullpen combined for 3 1/3 innings and allowed one run.
KT struck first. In the top of the first, Choi Won-jun’s hit and Yoo Jun-gyu’s double put runners on second and third with no outs, and Kim Hyun-soo’s RBI knock produced a two-run lead.
Lotte responded in the bottom of the first. Hits by Hwang Seong-bin, Reyes and Yoon Dong-hee loaded the bases with two outs, and Son Ho-young’s infield single pulled one back.
In the bottom of the third, Jang Du-seong’s infield single and Park Seung-wook’s hit put two on with two outs. Son Ho-young’s RBI double tied it at 2-2, and a wild pitch chased another run across to give Lotte a 3-2 lead.
KT evened the game in the top of the fourth. An error and a double by Lee Kang-min put runners on second and third with no outs, and Lee Jung-hoon’s grounder produced a run to make it 3-3.
Lotte regained control in the bottom of the fourth. With two outs and runners on second and third, Jeon Jun-woo’s two-run knock pushed the score to 5-3. KT answered in the top of the fifth when Son Min-seok’s hit and Jang Jin-hyuk’s double produced a run, and in the top of the sixth, Oh Yoon-seok’s RBI single tied it again at 5-5 with one out and runners on first and third.
In the bottom of the sixth, with two outs and a runner at second, Yoo Kang-nam’s RBI double put Lotte back in front, 6-5. KT responded in the top of the seventh when Kim Min-seok belted a solo homer to knot the game at 6-6. During KT’s at-bat in the top of the eighth, the umpires halted play due to rain and declared the contest a rain-shortened game, leaving the result as a tie.
