[MyDaily = Reporter Kim Jin-seong] Lee Hyun-jung (26, Nagasaki Velca) continued his hot streak in the playoffs.
Nagasaki defeated Alvark Tokyo 93-78 in Game 1 and 96-56 in Game 2 of the 2025–2026 B.League first-division quarterfinals. The games were played at Nagasaki Hippiness Arena on the 7th and 8th, and the Velca advanced to the semifinals.
Nagasaki finished the season 47-13 to win the Western Conference and drew East No. 4 Alvark Tokyo (41-19) in a best-of-three quarterfinal. All games, including a potential Game 3, were scheduled for Nagasaki’s home court. In Game 1 on the 7th, Lee logged 33:50 and finished with 14 points, nine rebounds and four assists, including two 3-pointers.
Lee was even better in Game 2 on the 8th. He played 27:41 and poured in 27 points on three 3-pointers, grabbed 10 rebounds, dished out three assists and added a steal for a double-double. Remarkably, he was a perfect 14-for-14 from the free-throw line.
Nagasaki’s semifinal series is set for the 15th and 16th, with a possible Game 3 on the 18th in another best-of-three format. The championship series is scheduled for the 23rd and 24th, with a potential Game 3 on the 26th, also a best-of-three.
