[Alpha Economy = Reporter Byung-sung Park] Kim Ha-seong of the Atlanta Braves, stuck in a hitting slump, watched his team’s rout from the bench.

Kim did not play in Atlanta’s road game at Fenway Park in Boston on the 29th (local time) against the Boston Red Sox.

It was his first day out since May 24 against the Washington Nationals, a span of four games. After going hitless in three straight contests, his season average has dropped to 0.095 (4-for-42). Since returning to the majors on May 13, he has yet to record an extra-base hit and sits with a 0.287 OPS.

Atlanta pummeled Boston 10-2, belting three homers. With the game tied 2-2 in the top of the sixth, Mike Yastrzemski drew a bases-loaded walk to put Atlanta ahead, and Ronald Acuña Jr. followed with a grand slam to left-center that essentially ended the Red Sox’s chances.

Michael Harris II added a solo shot in the seventh, and Ozzie Albies hit a two-run homer in the ninth to cap the scoring. Starter Chris Sale, facing his former team, worked five innings, allowing two runs on six hits with eight strikeouts to pick up his eighth win of the season (now 8-3).

At the plate, Ozzie Albies went 3-for-5 with a homer and two RBIs. Jorge Mateo, who started at shortstop and batted seventh in place of Kim, went 2-for-4 with a walk and an RBI, helping secure the victory.
