Baekga Spends 12 Hours Alone Cleaning Subscriber’s Trash-Filled Home After Depression — Why It Ended in Tears

Former Koyote singer Baekga drew attention after posting a moving act of kindness on her YouTube channel, “Baekga Unnie.” The video — titled “Shocking trash-filled house… I saved a subscriber with 12 hours of cleaning” and posted on the 7th — spread quickly across online communities and social media.

The episode followed a subscriber who quit her job after enduring harsh treatment from a supervisor. The subscriber said, “I developed depression and panic disorder and left my job. I was so exhausted I slept for days. When I realized I couldn’t keep living like this, I happened to see Baekga Unnie’s post and applied.”

Moldy dehumidifier made her gag

Baekga said she was excited to help, packed cleaning supplies and went to the subscriber’s apartment. When she arrived, the place was piled with trash. The scene would have unsettled anyone, but Baekga stayed and worked through it methodically. She discovered a dehumidifier caked with mold, gagged at the sight, and said quietly, “I’ll throw this out for the owner’s health,” before carrying on.

The apartment was in such bad shape that cleaning the balcony alone took half a day, yet Baekga kept going until the entire home was transformed over a 12-hour stretch. She admitted plainly, “I arrived at 11 o’clock and it took 12 hours. I’ve never cleaned for 12 straight hours in my life.”

At 29, I fought a brain tumor — her sincere reassurance

When the subscriber saw their cleaned apartment, they asked, “How did you clear all this?” and broke down in tears. Baekga responded calmly, “I enjoyed cleaning, too.”

She went on to share a personal note: “When I was 29 I faced a major illness — a brain tumor — and stood at the edge of life and death. I got through that hard time, so I hope you regain strength in both body and mind.”

Baekga also made a small keepsake: she framed a photograph she had taken and gave it to the subscriber. At the end she hugged them and said, “It’s not easy to open your home like this — thank you so much.”

Viewers responded enthusiastically after the video aired. Comments included: “Even professional teams wouldn’t tackle this alone — you really worked hard,” “This wasn’t just cleaning a dirty apartment; it felt like helping someone put their life back together,” “She did what family couldn’t — truly admirable,” and “This is what positive influence looks like.”
