On the 20th, Uhwan’s agency, Just Entertainment, issued an official statement saying it was taking action to prevent harm after receiving an increasing number of reports about TikTok accounts impersonating the actor.
In addition to his acting work, Uhwan has been engaging with global fans through TikTok live streams, which has heightened his international profile. Scammers have exploited that popularity, creating multiple fake accounts that use his name and photos to contact fans and create confusion.
The agency stressed that neither the company nor Uhwan will ever request money from fans or attempt private, one-on-one communication. Uhwan has only one official TikTok account, @onlyuhwan; any other accounts on TikTok are imposters. Fans were urged to take extra care to avoid financial or emotional harm caused by these fraudulent accounts.
Uhwan recently concluded his role as Seo Beom, a midfielder for the Daeheung City Club, on SBS’s recently ended drama From Today, I’m Human, leaving a strong impression on viewers. Critics praised his layered portrayal of a Gen Z/millennial character—straightforward and grounded—while his warm looks and sly comedic timing brought energy to the series.
With the character’s popularity and his TikTok presence creating momentum, Uhwan is being watched as an actor with rising potential. Just Entertainment said it will continue to monitor impersonator accounts closely and take proactive measures.
