[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] Yoon Doo-joon detailed how his fellow Highlight members reacted.

On the morning of the 23rd, E Channel held an online press conference for Brave Detectives 5. Ahn Jung-hwan, Kwon Il-yong, Kwak Sun-young, and Yoon Doo-joon attended.

When asked about the reaction to becoming an MC on Brave Detectives 5, Kwak Sun-young said, \”My husband loved the show — he applauded. Our child is still in elementary school; when I explained that it’s a program about cases, they cheered me on. He even told me to get Ahn Jung-hwan’s autograph,\” she added.

When Ahn joked, \”Would an elementary schooler know me?\” Kwak replied, \”They do — and they asked you for an autograph.\”

Highlight leader Yoon Doo-joon joked about his role as the show’s \”youngest.\” \”It’s strange — I’m almost 40; I’m 38 this year,\” he said. \”I’m not exactly a relic, but I’m grateful to be called the youngest.\”

Asked how the other Highlight members responded, he said, \”I’ve been with the members for nearly 20 years. Joining the show didn’t feel like a big ‘congratulations’ moment — the team is still solid. I hadn’t realized how many people around me watch Brave Detectives. Company staff and my parents like it; my parents said they watch every day. Their support meant the most to me.\”

Kwon Il-yong added, \”The two new MCs bring a lot of energy. I worry the veterans might get edged out. I’ll do my best and work hard.\”

Brave Detectives presents the raw, on-the-ground stories of detectives who work around the clock to protect public safety. Serving officers appear on the show to recount case episodes and offer crime-prevention tips, blending entertainment, information, and social value.

Since its April 2022 debut, Brave Detectives has reached its fifth season. New MCs Kwak Sun-young and Yoon Doo-joon join Ahn Jung-hwan and profiler Kwon Il-yong. Brave Detectives 5 premieres on the 27th at 9:50 p.m.
