[SPOTV News — Reporter Bae Sun-young] Rapper BewhY announced that he will close his label, Dejavu Group.
On May 1, BewhY posted a lengthy message on his social media accounts. In the post he wrote, “I have failed,” and said he would end his activities with the label.
He added that he has come to recognize his limits and has decided to let go of the things he had been holding onto. “All responsibility rests entirely with me,” he wrote.
BewhY rose to prominence after winning Mnet’s Show Me the Money 5. He founded the one-man agency Dejavu Group in 2017 and expanded it into a hip-hop label in 2019, signing several respected artists.

Hello. This is BewhY. It’s hard to believe it’s already been 10 years since I started making music and rapping. During that time I moved forward with quiet confidence, without second-guessing myself. Even when I had nothing, that belief carried me onto stages, and I eventually experienced success. That success convinced me that my choices were right.
But life didn’t follow the path I expected. Business matters, relationships and even my inner convictions unfolded very differently from what I had imagined. My mistakes accumulated, and I resisted admitting them. To acknowledge them would mean accepting that some of my choices were foolish — and I feared being labeled a failure. Now I will face it: I have failed.
I have come to understand my limits and decided to let go of the things I was obsessed with. I will close Dejavu Group, the label I founded in 2017. This was not an easy decision, and I take full responsibility. I also want to thank the artists who trusted and worked with me.
I am deeply grateful to everyone who supported and watched over Dejavu Group, and I apologize to all of you.
