This spring, Poet Core is having a moment. Rooted in a poet’s sensibility, the trend leans classic and intellectual—think quiet sophistication rather than loud branding. An offshoot of the “text-hip” movement that makes reading look effortlessly cool, Poet Core favors restrained silhouettes and an analog, lived-in charm that’s spilling over from fashion into lifestyle.

On March 28, fashion platform ABLY reported big gains over the month of March 1–25 for key Poet Core pieces: wide shirts jumped 395%, long pants rose 48%, and wristwatches climbed 60%. W Concept also saw roughly a 15% uptick in sales of Poet Core–related items like vintage outerwear, classic loafers, and horn-rimmed glasses during the same period.

Pinterest, the global visual platform, flagged Poet Core as a major fashion trend for 2026. The look is defined by negative space, muted palettes, and relaxed shapes. It’s less about flashy displays and more about subtle cues of personal taste—imagine a poet tucked into a cafe, carrying a dog-eared notebook and a fountain pen. A W Concept spokesperson explained, “As people in their 20s and 30s move away from showy logos and pure functionality toward inner values, value-driven purchases that celebrate personal taste and analog sensibility are helping Poet Core gain traction.”

This vibe is already taking root in the U.S., a trendsetting market. Coach recently launched a mini-book “Book Bag Charm” designed to clip onto handbags, and it sold out on the brand’s U.S. site almost immediately after release.

South Korea is leaning into Poet Core, too. Casual label Dunst built its entire 2026 spring collection around the mood—focusing on timeless wardrobe staples like trench coats, leather and chore jackets, shirts, and trousers. With pared-back silhouettes and soft fabrics, the collection struck a chord: the “Unisex Alter Leather Half Jacket” sold out during January preorders, and certain colors and sizes of checked shirts and silk scarves are already being reordered.

The trend is showing up in accessories as well. On March 21, fashion platform 29CM marked World Poetry Day with curated picks—bookmarks, covers, notebooks and the like. Eyewear brand Gentle Monster’s “Panini 01,” with its chunky black frame and angular lines, has become a go-to Poet Core piece for its thoughtful, intellectual vibe. Lifestyle label OIMU followed suit with a mini-book keyring reminiscent of Coach’s charm.

Industry insiders say Poet Core reflects a broader shift in consumer behavior, not just a fleeting style. In Korea, logoless and minimal aesthetics—marked by clean silhouettes and refined colors—continue to outsell flashy logos and over-the-top details. Against a backdrop of economic uncertainty and widening gaps in spending power, shoppers are favoring value-driven buys over conspicuous consumption. “It’s more than a styling trend—it’s a new way of expressing inner taste,” one fashion source noted. “Because Poet Core is built on classic spring pieces and is easy to wear, we expect the trend to stick around for the foreseeable future.”
