[RealFood=Reporter Yook Seong-yeon] On April 2, Kellogg announced the launch of “Low-Sugar Granola,” a new option boosted with whole grains and dietary fiber.

Kellogg cut sugar by about 80% compared with the top three products in the same category, designing each serving to contain roughly 1.5 g (0.053 oz) of sugar. The formula is gently sweetened with oligosaccharides, honey and stevia.

The granola packs fiber equivalent to about 1.8 bananas and is built around whole grains. The blend features seven whole grains, including the ancient grain farro, whole oats, whole wheat, whole rye and black barley.

To celebrate the launch, Kellogg will run promotions on Naver Shopping Live and through its brand store, offering a range of perks to purchasers.

“Consumers today want more than just reduced sugar — they care about what replaces it,” said Kang Seon-young, marketing team manager at Kellogg. “We designed this product around whole grains and fiber so it feels light while delivering both flavor and nutrition.”
