AOMG announced on the 22nd that webtoon artist and TV personality Kian84 donated 100 million KRW (approximately $75,000) to 100 elderly people who collect scrap paper.
Kian84 appeared on the YouTube channel ‘Celeb In’ for the \”Donation Planner\” segment, where he walked viewers through the donation process and explained his reasons for giving.
The Seodaemun District Office selected 100 elderly scrap collectors who need assistance or have fallen through gaps in the welfare system as the recipients.
Raised by his grandmother, Kian84 said seeing older people struggle inspired him to help. This donation is part of his ongoing \”100 Challenge.\”
He launched the 100 Challenge in 2024 to provide orphanage children with funds for needed items, offering 1,000,000 KRW (approximately $750) per child. In January last year, he and webtoon artist Park Tae-joon donated 1,000,000 KRW (approximately $750) each to 60 children at orphanages, totaling 60,000,000 KRW (approximately $45,000).
