Actor Jin Seo-yeon reflected on the finale of tvN’s drama “I’ll Give You the Universe.” The series debuted last month with a 1.9% viewership rating and remained in the low-1% range across its 12-episode run; the finale reportedly drew a 1.953% rating.
Jin Seo-yeon played Amy Chu, delivering a commanding screen presence. As a star photographer, she combined cool, steely charisma with relentless drive, giving the role layered complexity. Her measured, weighty performances in conflict scenes and her controlled emotional work reaffirmed her acting range.
Through strong chemistry with her co-stars, she charted Amy Chu’s arc across a broad emotional spectrum—shifting convincingly between detachment and warmth—and secured viewers’ empathy.
At the series’ end, Jin Seo-yeon said, “I sincerely thank everyone who watched ‘I’ll Give You the Universe.’ Thanks to you, we were able to bring the project to a successful close.” She added, “I also want to thank my fellow actors and the entire crew who worked so hard on set. Everyone put in tremendous effort.”
“I genuinely enjoyed filming and felt very happy throughout the process,” she continued. “Portraying Amy Chu was both a significant challenge and a great joy as an actress. This project will stay with me for a long time.”
Jin is currently reviewing her next project as she prepares to return to the public with a fresh image. Having delivered dramatic transformations in each of her roles, anticipation is high about what she’ll choose next.
