KGM’s 2026 Vehicle Inspection Service: Essential Tips for Safe Driving This Lunar New Year

| Seoul – KG Mobility (KGeneral Motors) announced on January 10th that it will offer a complimentary “2026 Lunar New Year Vehicle Inspection Service” in preparation for the upcoming holiday.

The free inspections will be available from January 11th to 13th at 321 service centers nationwide, including the Gunpo Metropolitan Service Center. This service covers all KGeneral Motors models, except for large commercial vehicles.

The comprehensive inspection includes checks on the battery, engine oil, antifreeze, lighting and HVAC systems, brake and pad wear, tire condition and pressure, coolant levels, and heater and filter functionality. As an added benefit, customers will receive a complimentary windshield washer fluid top-up upon completion of the inspection.

Electric vehicle owners can take advantage of an additional special safety inspection, which includes examinations of the battery, cabin heater coolant, and drive motor coolant. KGeneral Motors will also maintain its round-the-clock emergency roadside assistance throughout the holiday period.

A KGeneral Motors spokesperson emphasized the importance of maintaining reduced speeds and safe following distances during winter driving. They also stressed the need for extra caution in vehicle maintenance due to extreme cold and snowfall. “We strongly encourage our customers to visit a service center for a thorough inspection before their holiday travels, particularly to prepare for icy road conditions. It’s also crucial to review and practice safe winter driving techniques,” the spokesperson added.
