Incheon Airport Parking: Weekend vs Weekday – What’s the Real Difference?

Translation result▲ I returned after readers’ comments — Incheon Airport parking conditions [On-site log]
After we posted a video last month showing parking at Incheon International Airport’s Terminal 2, some viewers wrote, “Check weekends or holidays, not weekdays.” To see whether conditions actually differ, I went back to the site.

On the afternoon of the 27th (Friday) last month, I inspected Terminal 2. The electronic parking board flagged some areas as congested, but the crowds were largely confined to the lower levels and near entry points. The upper decks and the rooftop had noticeably more open spaces. In particular, the east short-term lot and the upper levels of the long-term parking tower had so many empty spots that finding a car seemed harder than finding a space.

I returned at the same hour on the 28th and found much the same. Even on Saturday, vehicles clustered in only a few sections; a short drive to another zone usually yielded a spot. I also checked Terminal 1. Only certain P1 areas were full; the short-term lots and most of the long-term parking remained broadly available. Because the lots are divided into zones, congestion in one area can feel severe, but moving to a different zone often makes finding a space relatively easy.

In short, I didn’t observe a major difference between weekdays and weekends on site. Overall, parking didn’t feel uniformly scarce; availability varied by zone. That said, demand can spike during peak seasons and holidays, so timing and route choice still matter.
