[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] ‘Miss Trot 4’ winner Lee Sona shared how her husband, Kang Sang-jun, reacted.
On the afternoon of the 13th, TV Chosun held a press conference for the Top 5 of ‘Miss Trot 4’ at its Gasan-dong studio in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul. Attending were Jin (眞) winner Lee Sona, Seon (善) Heo Chan-mi, Mi (美) Hong Sung-yoon, Gil Ryeo-won and Yoon Tae-hwa.
Lee Sona said, \”Appearing on ‘Miss Trot 4’ has honestly changed my life. I entered the competition with courage and a desperate heart, and to earn the title of Jin is an incredible honor. I’m deeply happy, and the contest also helped me uncover and confront wounds I had been carrying inside.\”
When asked about her husband Kang Sang-jun’s reaction, she replied, \”Because I’ve been receiving attention lately, Kang Sang-jun has been getting noticed too. It’s surprising. Above all, he knew how much I struggled before joining ‘Miss Trot 4,’ so he’s been happy for me and has offered a lot of advice.\”
She added that Kang Sang-jun, who started his career as a musical actor and now appears in television dramas, often coaches her on expressive delivery when she sings. On how they met, she said she attended a Korean traditional music high school and that he came to that production as the male lead. They were friends first and naturally became a couple.
The ‘Miss Trot’ series sparked a nationwide trot craze in South Korea and is regarded as the original trot audition show. Its fourth season peaked at an 18.4% viewership rating and concluded its four-month run on the 5th.
