[Sports Today reporter Kim Tae-hyung] Dragon Pony has been tearing through music shows and festival stages at home and abroad, solidifying its status as a leading example of \”running music\” — high-energy rock that gets audiences moving.
Dragon Pony (Ahn Tae-gyu, Pyeon Seong-hyun, Kwon Se-hyuk, Go Kang-hyun) released their third EP, RUN RUN RUN, on the 10th. Since their comeback, they’ve been performing the title track \”Ah, Everything Goes My Way!\” on major domestic music programs, drawing enthusiastic responses.
The title track captures youth’s fierce insistence on living on their own terms rather than following society’s standards. It opens with a technical, fluid guitar riff and builds momentum through richly layered instrumental arrangements to deliver a concentrated burst of energy.
Built around the optimistic message that \”everything will turn out fine anyway,\” Dragon Pony unleashes an unrelenting musical rush atop a powerful band sound, quickening listeners’ pulses. In January, Dragon Pony staged a special collaboration in Tokyo — youTopia vol.2 KAMI WA SAIKORO WO FURANAI X Dragon Pony in TOKYO — sharing the bill with Japanese band Kami wa Saikoro wo Furanai. They also expanded their international footprint with a second consecutive appearance at Taichung’s major music event, EMERGE FEST 2026.
Riding that momentum, Dragon Pony will kick off a string of festival appearances starting with THE GLOW 2026 at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang, on the 21st. They follow with Beautiful Mint Life 2026 on May 31 and Sound Planet Festival 2026 on Sept. 5–6. Expect their signature high-energy performances to shine again as they connect closely with audiences.
Dragon Pony’s third EP, RUN RUN RUN, continues a coming-of-age narrative about imperfect youth. The five-track record centers on authentic rock while incorporating elements from diverse genres. All members served as the main producers, writing, composing, and arranging every track — further cementing their identity as a self-producing band.
