Actor Choi Bo-min, a former member of idol group Golden Child, wrapped up his first solo fan meeting in South Korea to strong acclaim. He first gained wider attention after appearing in Playlist’s 2019 series A-TEEN Season 2, where his on-screen chemistry with Lee Na-eun drew notice.
Choi held “My Sweet day, BOMIN” on March 14 at H-STAGE in Hongdae, Seoul. The White Day event ran two performances — at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. — giving fans a chance to celebrate the holiday with the actor.
He opened the event with a cover of “I’m In Love.” Addressing the crowd, he said, “Today is White Day. I wanted to spend this sweet day with fans, so I put together this fan meeting. I hope it becomes a sweet day for you, too,” setting a warm, intimate tone for the show.
To make his domestic debut fan meeting memorable, Choi filled the program with a variety of segments. During a Q&A he answered pre-submitted fan questions. In a “What’s In My Bag” segment, he revealed meaningful items he carries regularly, giving fans a closer look at his personal keepsakes.
He also showcased his performing chops with a dance-challenge medley, delivering polished routines to songs including CORTIS’s “GO!, “FaSHioN,” TWS’s “OVERDRIVE,” ALLDAY PROJECT’s Ani and Woo-chan’s “WHERE YOU AT,” BOYNEXTDOOR’s “Only Today I LOVE YOU,” and Epik High’s “LOVE LOVE LOVE.”
The event heated up further when fellow Golden Child members rallied in support. In the first show, Hong Joo-chan made a surprise appearance for a duet of “Singing In The Rain.” In the second performance, Lee Jang-jun and TAG joined Choi for “Purpose,” creating unforgettable moments for attendees. Lee Dae-yeol and Kim Dong-hyun also attended, underscoring the group’s camaraderie.
Choi and his members staged special activities, including a quiz where fans guessed Golden Child songs represented by emojis and another where they identified tracks from music-video clips. He also held a giveaway of personal items, keeping the audience fully engaged.
The program also offered a closer look at Choi’s acting career. He shared behind-the-scenes stories from roles such as Ryu Ju-ha in A-TEEN, Kim Ho-in in Shadow Beauty, Hwang Ji-hoon in Melt Me, Seo Ji-ho in 18 Again, Woo-jin in Grotesque Train, and Goo Seon-ho in Spirit Fingers, speaking candidly about his experiences and approach as an actor.
Near the end of the event, Choi posed for a group photo with the audience to capture another shared memory and said, “Thank you for spending White Day with me. I hope today remains a sweet and warm memory for you.” He closed the solo fan meeting with a heartfelt performance of the final song, “A Beautiful Person.”
