BLACKPINK’s Jennie Soars to Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 with ‘Dracula’ – What Does This Mean for K-Pop?

Translation result지난 [Herald Business = Reporter Seunghee Go] BLACKPINK’s Jennie has become the second member of the group, after Rosé, to reach the top 10 of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 — this time with “Dracula,” a collaboration with Tame Impala.

Billboard’s chart preview published on the 11th (local time) shows “Dracula,” credited to Jennie and Tame Impala, climbed eight spots to No. 10 on this week’s Hot 100.

This week the track drew 12.1 million streams (up 5% from the prior week), reached 23.1 million radio listeners (up 20%), and sold 2,000 copies (up 25%).

The top-10 entry is the best showing of Jennie’s solo career to date and makes her the second BLACKPINK member to land in the Hot 100 top 10, following Rosé.

Rosé first debuted on the Hot 100 at No. 8 with “APT.,” a 2024 collaboration with Bruno Mars, then rose to No. 3 in February 2025 — becoming the first K-pop female solo artist to enter both the top 10 and the top 5.

With Jennie’s new milestone, BLACKPINK joins a short list of groups that have produced multiple female members who each reached the Hot 100 top 10.

Billboard’s list includes Destiny’s Child (Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland), Fifth Harmony (Camila Cabello, Normani), Fleetwood Mac (Christine McVie, Stevie Nicks), and the Go-Go’s (Belinda Carlisle, Jane Wiedlin). BLACKPINK now appears on that roster as well.

제니. Jennie has steadily built a presence on the Hot 100. She first charted in 2023 with “One of the Girls,” a collaboration with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp. In October 2024, she scored her first solo Hot 100 entry with “Mantra,” which debuted at No. 98. She followed with “Love Hangover” featuring Dominic Fike (No. 96) and “ExtraL” featuring Doechii (No. 74). In March 2025, tracks from her debut solo album Ruby — “like JENNIE” (No. 83) and the Dua Lipa collaboration “Handlebars” (No. 80) — pushed her total to six Hot 100 entries.

Notably, when Ruby was released, Jennie placed three songs on the Hot 100 at the same time (“like JENNIE,” “Handlebars,” and “ExtraL”), the first K-pop female solo artist to do so. She also became the first K-pop female solo artist to place six songs on the Hot 100, surpassing the three-song totals from BTS’s Jungkook (“GOLDEN”) and Lisa (“ALTEREGO”).

“Dracula” was originally released by Tame Impala as a solo track in October 2025; a duet version featuring Jennie was released in February.

The top-10 showing is also a first for Kevin Parker of Tame Impala. He previously reached No. 11 as a collaborator on Dua Lipa’s “Houdini” in 2023 and earned a No. 15 credit as co-writer and producer on Lady Gaga’s “Perfect Illusion” in 2016.

“Dracula” currently sits at No. 1 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart for an 18th consecutive week and leads the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart for a second straight week.

The track’s cross-genre chart success underscores Jennie’s emergence beyond the K-pop label into a broader pop music identity on the global stage.

On this week’s Billboard Hot 100, female artists occupy eight of the top 10 spots, marking eight consecutive weeks with at least seven women in the top 10 — the longest streak since August–October 2014, when artists like Taylor Swift and Meghan Trainor dominated the ranks. Ella Langley’s “choosin’ Texas” has logged nine straight weeks at No. 1, while “Be Her” holds the No. 2 spot.
