By Ahn Hyun-joon | Today Korea — Chung-Ang University’s Graduate School of Communication is accepting applications for new master’s students for the second half of the 2026 academic year, with the application window running from the 23rd of this month through the 17th of next month.

Admissions are open to two programs: Next-Generation Content & Broadcast–Video Convergence, and Media Strategy & Data Communication.

Selection will be based on document review and interviews. Applicants must hold—or be expected to receive—a bachelor’s degree, regardless of undergraduate major, or have equivalent qualifications. Those who have completed at least one semester (six credits or more) in the same or a similar graduate program at a domestic or foreign university may also apply for transfer admission.

The graduate school offers training designed to sharpen the professional skills of journalists, creators and marketers. It also supports students through networking events and other activities with industry practitioners to help them complete their degree programs.

Kang Jin-sook, dean of the Graduate School of Communication, said she looks forward to welcoming students for the second semester and encouraged applications from journalists, media professionals and candidates from across society.

Meanwhile, the graduate school recently launched its general alumni association and named attorney Han Sang-hyuk its founding president.

Han earned his law degree from Korea University and a master’s in journalism and broadcasting from Chung-Ang University’s Graduate School of Journalism and Broadcasting. He has served as a director of the Korea Broadcasting Culture Promotion Association and as co-chair of the Citizens’ Coalition for Democratic Media. Notably, he served as chairman of the Korea Communications Commission from 2019 to 2023.
