Gyeonggi Fire School announced on March 16 that the National Fire Agency and the Training Institutions Evaluation Committee had named it the top institution in the 2025 Fire Education and Training Institution Evaluation for the second consecutive year.

The nationwide evaluation of local fire academies assessed performance across a range of indicators, including training operations, curriculum quality, and improvements in field-response capabilities.

Evaluators commended the school for operating a demand-driven, field-focused curriculum that links core competency analysis with checklist-based inspections in its training operations.

That curriculum also won the Minister of Personnel Management’s Award in the training category at the 43rd Public HRD Contest, earning external recognition for its quality and innovation.

Acting Principal Lee Sang-tae said the school will strengthen field-centered training adapted to evolving disaster conditions and dedicate itself to cultivating the core firefighting professionals who will safeguard residents’ safety.
