[Sports Today reporter Lee Sang-pil] Inje Speedium, the motorsports complex in Inje, Gangwon Province, announced on March 17 that the Inje Masters Series—the country’s only endurance race run directly by the venue—will open its 2026 season with Round 1 on April 26.

The Inje Masters Series is an endurance-format motorsports championship where cars stay on track for extended stints, testing drivers’ stamina and focus, cars’ durability and the teams’ strategic depth. Launched in 2023, it has established itself as South Korea’s only dedicated endurance series and now moves into its fourth season.

The 2026 season will span five rounds from April 26 through October, all held at the Inje Speedium circuit. Organizers will use a variety of race formats at each round to increase intensity and strategic complexity.

The season finale is set for October 11. By mixing time slots and race formats across the calendar, the series aims to give teams and drivers a tactical racing environment while delivering a richer, more varied experience for fans.

Starting this year, Inje Speedium has formed a strategic partnership with motorsports specialist MIK Racing to boost the series’ operational expertise and competitiveness. By combining Inje Speedium’s circuit infrastructure with MIK Racing’s event know-how, the partners plan to build a more participant-focused race environment and raise the event’s brand profile.

MIK Racing is staffed by professionals with experience running major domestic events, including the SuperRace series. Its deep operational knowledge and on-site experience have earned it recognition in motorsports event planning and management. Through this collaboration, Inje Speedium expects to enhance event execution and deliver a top-tier race experience for both competitors and spectators.

The Inje Masters Series will also expand its domestic endurance racing platform through local and corporate partnerships, with a long-term goal of establishing the foundation to attract international events.

Inje Speedium plans to grow its motorsports offerings around the Inje Masters Series, evolving beyond basic circuit operation into a “motorsports theme park” that blends racing, hands-on experiences and cultural programming. The venue aims to become a central hub for motorsports activity and culture in South Korea.

Lee Jeong-min, CEO of Inje Speedium, said, “As the country’s only endurance series, the Inje Masters Series gives motorsports fans a unique viewing experience. We’ll continue to promote Korea’s motorsports culture through diverse race formats and engaging programming.”
