Experience KBO League Like Never Before: Join the ‘My Dream is KBO 981 League Cheerleader’ Program in Jeju!

The KBO has teamed up with 9.81 Park Jeju in Aewol-eup, Jeju City, to launch “My Dream: KBO 981 League — Cheer Captain,” a fan engagement program that uses hands-on activities to rally support for KBO League clubs.

Operated by Daesung Pinetec’s Monolith Division, 9.81 Park Jeju is a themed attraction centered on gravity-driven experiences, including its signature Race 981. The park’s name references gravitational acceleration (g = 9.81 m/s²) and integrates advanced technologies—from artificial intelligence to the Internet of Things—into physically immersive attractions. By combining digital convenience with analog energy, the park offers visitors to Jeju a fresh, interactive experience.

My Dream: KBO 981 League — Cheer Captain puts fans in the role of their team’s cheer captain, giving them a taste of the league experience. To coincide with the KBO League opener, the program opens at 9.81 Park Jeju on the 28th and will be accessible through a dedicated mobile application.

Fans who purchase a team package will take on in-park activity missions as members of that club. The park collects and analyzes real-time mission data—such as ride performance and crowd noise (decibels)—and uses those results to update each team’s ranking.

Among the 12 missions, the flagship challenge “Let Your Cheers Explode” pairs the park’s Shout system with KBO cheering culture. At the Race 981 start, shouting a team chant above a set decibel threshold activates an acceleration booster. After the race, participants can watch a personalized cheer-racing video that captures their highlights.

In addition to team rankings, the park provides individual “Cheer Captain” stats. Borrowing the five-tool-player concept, it tracks five attributes—Speed (Race 981), Charge (Ringo), Passion (Shout & Ceremony), Survival (Arena & Pro Arena), and Spin (Sky Swing)—so fans can compete with more strategy and depth.

The park also features team-specific installations to boost club affiliation and immersion. Through the 981 Clubhouse, which displays team uniforms, and entrance display zones for each club, visitors can feel the KBO League atmosphere right in Jeju.

The KBO and Daesung Pinetec’s Monolith Division plan to continue collaborating on new fan-experience formats like My Dream: KBO 981 League — Cheer Captain.
