The victory came at Daejeon’s Hanwha Life Ballpark and ended a skid that stretched back to late March.
Kang Baek-ho was the driving force, finishing with three hits and five RBIs. With two outs and runners on second and third in the first, he delivered a run-scoring single to put the Eagles ahead. In the fifth, his two-run double pushed the lead, and he added another RBI single in the seventh to seal the game.
The Eagles broke the game open in the fifth while leading 2-1. Yonathan Peraza followed with a two-run homer, and Kang’s extra-base hit extended the advantage to 6-1. They added more runs in the seventh after an opposing error and another timely hit.
