[MyDaily = Reporter Kim Jong-guk] Kim Min-jae will marshal Bayern Munich’s defense for the match against Mainz.

Bayern finalized its starting XI for the Round 31 Bundesliga trip to Mainz on the 25th, with kickoff at 10:30 p.m. KST. Manager Vincent Kompany confirmed Kim Min-jae in the starting lineup; Kim has been a regular starter in Bayern’s recent league matches. Mainz will be without Lee Jae-sung, who was left out of the squad due to injury and will miss the clash.

Bayern will deploy Jackson up front, with Dias, Guerreiro and Ndiaye supporting the attack. Pavlović and Goretzka will pair in midfield, while Davies, Ito, Kim Min-jae and Riemer form the back line. Urbich will start in goal.

The club rotated its squad for the Mainz game, naming Kane, Jonathan Tah, Musiala, Olise and Stanisic among the substitutes.

On the 20th, Bayern beat Stuttgart 4-2 in Round 30 to clinch the Bundesliga title with games to spare. On the 23rd, they defeated Leverkusen 2-0 in the DFB-Pokal semifinal to reach the final. Chasing a potential treble, Bayern will face Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on the 29th in the first leg of the 2025–26 UEFA Champions League semifinals.
