Jungwoo Ham led every day to win the Asian Tour Singapore Open, a four-day event with a 2 million USD purse.

On the final day, April 26, at Sentosa Golf Club’s Serapong Course (par 71), Ham recorded five birdies and one double-bogey for a 3-under 68 in the fourth round, finishing at 16-under 268 to take the title.

With the victory, Ham earned a spot in The Open in July and collected a 360,000 USD winner’s check. The win is his first on a regular international tour, adding to four career victories on the Korea Professional Golfers’ Association (KPGA) Tour.

Australia’s Cameron John shot a 5-under 66 on Sunday to finish 14-under 270 and claim solo second. John also secured a place in The Open.

The 154th Open Championship will be held at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in England.

Ham opened the week with a 7-under 64 to share the first-round lead. He went 3-under in the second round to move into sole possession of the lead, then carded another 3-under in round three to push his advantage to four strokes and put himself firmly in control. He held steady on Sunday to complete the wire-to-wire win.

Speaking through the KPGA, Ham said, “I think focusing only on my game until the end led to this victory. I started the final round with a four-shot lead, and being in that position made me feel a strong responsibility. This win means a lot to me personally — I’m glad the experience and preparation I’ve built up paid off.”

Ham added, “I’m grateful to my family for their quiet support, and especially to my daughter, Soyul. I also thank my sponsor, Hana Financial Group, for their continued backing, and the fans who always cheer for me. I’ll work to become a player who can confidently compete on bigger stages.”

Moon Do-yeop shot a 6-under final round to finish tied for sixth at 8-under 276; Wang Jung-hoon finished tied for 26th at 4-under 280 after a 5-under day; Choi Seung-bin ended tied for 52nd at 1-over 285; and Kim Hong-taek tied for 56th at 2-over 286.
